Wilson Lumber Named "Best Place for Working Parents"

Wilson Lumber Company has been given the distinction of 2022 “Best Place for Working Parents®” by the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber Foundation.  This marks Wilson Lumber’s first time to be recognized for the working parents’ benefits available to their employees.  Considering Madison County is home to nearly 9,000 businesses, this ranks Wilson Lumber in the top 1 percent of the county’s working parents’ community.   

To determine a Best Place for Working Parents®, the Huntsville/Madison County Foundation’s criteria included company-paid health care coverage, paid time off, parental leave, nursing benefits, an additional “Best Place” designation, onsite childcare, childcare assistance, back-up childcare, flexible hours, and remote work.  Wilson Lumber proudly offers many of these benefits to their working parent employees as they seek to take care of their families.  The organization also carries a 2022 designation for Certified Best Place to Work from Best Workplace Institutes.
